Unveiling One Of The FASTEST Trains In The World Located In China Beijing-Tianjin Route
The railway industry in China is no doubt one of the top most technologically advanced and busiest in the world today. In all of these the Chinese railway industry has manage to go the extra mile in leaving the whole world far behind when it comes to its technological prowess in the railway industry. In times past the Chinese ministry of railway has been going through a lot of upgrade and has had it planned out under the administration serving in the year 2006-2010. This great plan has promoted the construction of added new links and high speed trains in the capital not leaving Beijing-Tianjin corridor which is said to be part of a project to construct 17,000km (10,500 miles) of new railway systems.
In close attention we will be looking at the particular train been introduced to help commuters move from one point to another after the links have been set.
The Beijing-Tianjin railway
(China) has in its stations one of the fastest trains in the world. This train
is so fast and advanced that it has broken so many bounds and records due to
the short timescale for its construction which has resulted in some of its novel
features. Let us dive in and look at some of its features which makes it
distinct amongst other trains, though we have so many others which are more
faster and have broken more records.
Train in focus is the CRH 3
high speed trains by Siemens company, It is said to have a capacity of 600
seated passengers at a go. It is also known among train engineers as the Model
for future high-speed lines which will later be used in other countries as they
advance. It is said to be the first conventional high-speed line in China and
has 300km/h line speed with option to upgrade to 350km/h. Its railway paths connects
two major cities affected by congested routes. It usually takes on average 100km
to be built on pre-cast concrete viaduct and also has a rapid build timescale –
two years to build 117km. They are based on the Siemens-Velaro units which is
said to have been used in the in Spain in 2006 to which its main origin is
Germany. It also has a very spacious and well ventilated cabin units combined
with automatic system for passengers to relax their seats backwards and also
watch TV programs if they want to be entertained.
Commuters from Beijing to
Tianjin roads before now usually find it difficult to get to their place of
destination early but now with the new trains it has made life easy for them.
Now the new train system of 115km (72 miles) long, has shortened travel times to just 30 minutes from what is used to
be.
High speed trains in China
most especially makes use of maglev (magnetic levitation) system which propels
trains on a specially designed track at very high speeds or velocity. The route
which this train passes, which is the Beijing-Tianjin railway, is said to use
conventional railway technology which still remains the fastest railway of its
kind in the country. This new railway system is also said to have trains arrive
in every 3 minutes and it is expected to be between two cities in order to
encourage fast high speed traveling in the capital.
When the rails were been
built in July 2005 it was planned to be completed in the year 2007 which was
one of the record breaking time recorded in the construction of rail tracks in
china. Prior to this also they already had started services from an upgraded
Beijing Nan railway station as there had already been Yizhuang, Wuging and
Yongle stations been built in record times too respectively.
The company in charge of
constructing this super fast trains as previously stated is Siemens
Transportation System and they have been doing this for quite some time now.
They were contracted along with DB (German Railways) and in Spain with RENFE to
construct new high speed trains for China rail systems to which their
concentration will be 57 set ICE trains at the Tangshan Locomotive and Rolling
Stock Works.
The super fast Velaro CHR3 trains allows for a seating position of 2+2 in first class cars and 3+2 seats been installed in standard class cars and are in a width of 3,625mm. Along with its design is a distributed traction package of well engineered axles powered with a maximum output of 8.8MW (megawatt) of electricity. As it is well known in China that the weather can be a little bit harsh with extreme temperatures the trains are being designed to withstand temperatures of -25°C to +40°C. Another feature is the network signaling and controlling system which includes a Simis W electronic interlocking, a control of the Vicos operations system and a ETCS level 1 train control system too.
The Velaro CHR3 trains has shown to be a very useful and efficient transport means for the people of China especially in the Beijing to Tianjin route, as it has helped in easing the constraints encountered during movements or travel from one spot to another. A planned operation of 180 commute services per-day is in the works for the Beijing to Tianjin rail line to see how much traffic growth can be encountered while using this route. Expansion may be seen in the nearest future as the rail means of transportation system is fast evolving all over china.
